Pumpkin Carving

On a windy and cold day we decided to carve our family pumpkins. We waited until the babies went down for a nap so there wouldn't be extra hands helping! Elise was super excited and it was cute that she didn't have any memory of carving from previous years except from photos.
The dogs, of course, joined us too... laying right beside us.
It must have been exhausting work for them.

Jeff carved Elise's pumpkin... under Elise's guidance.

Elise's pumpkin... notice the hair and ears
My pumpkin... which was grown in our own garden
Jeff's pumpkin... which is Garth's head... not sure where he came up that one!

Of course we finished with pumpkin seed making. You can really see how messy Elise's hair is- which is from wearing a hat to Perrysburg's BooFest earlier that day. The pumpkin seeds were super yummy... worth the wait! I image that next year we will have to share them with the twins...
