Safety Town

Big sister Elise recently finished a 2 week Safety Town program through our police department. They touched upon: policeman are our friends, stranger danger, stray dogs/animals, electricity, railroad safety, how to cross the street, poison and fire safety. Of course the highlight was riding the bus to each elementary school. There they practiced how to get on and off the bus.

The week concluded with a graduation ceremony where Jeff and I took the twins. The kids were so happy to sing all the songs they learned. Now, Elise reminds us of all the things she has learned should we make a mistake. For instance, on a walk the other day, I stopped on the railroad tracks with our wagon as I waited for Elise to catch up. She reminded me this was a dangerous thing to do. What would I do without her?! Thanks Safety Town!
